For those who have never heard of them... Buena Vista Social Club was a club for musicians to play in Havana, Cuba during the 1940's & 50's. In the late 90's many years after the club closed, a group on Cuban musicians some of which were in their 90's and played at the original club got together to record an album famously titled Buena Vista Social Club. The album became an international success. With encouragement the group played in Amsterdam in 1998, seen in the clip above, which is part of an Academy Award Nominated film titled Buena Vista Social Club.
